Painting Trees with Jungle DVD
Painting Trees is the first of our step by step tutorials for Jungle DVD and Photo-Paint. It provides an illustrated walkthrough of the tools and techniques necessary to paint tree textures for application in 3D.
This birch tree is actually a 512 pixel 2D tree mapped with transparency and rendered in a 3D scene. It took about 10 minutes to paint the tree. The precision mask was created while painting the tree.
The step-by-step PDF tutorial contains everything you'll need including a leaf, branch and shadow tube, a tree trunk layer and a shadow brush. The tutorial takes about 20 minutes to complete.
